    Dr. J. Craig Smith is the Practice Owner and Senior Veterinarian at Pet Wellness Center, PC. Dr. Smith graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University.

    Melanie Rossin-Gray
    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr Melanie Rossin-Gray is an Associate Veterinarian with Pet Wellness Center. She joined the practice in 2014, after practicing in Carbondale, IL. She attended McKendree College and Souther Illinois University at Edwardsville for her undergraduate and graduate training, and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2011.

    Kristine Kozak
    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Kristine Kozak is originally from Homer Glen, IL, a southwest suburb of Chicago. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in May of 2018. She enjoys working with all animals: dogs, cats, cattle, goats, horses, sheep, and pigs. Especially when she gets to visit them on farm calls. When not working, Dr. Kozak relaxes by gardening and going to the movies with her husband, Peter. She also likes to take long walks with her rough-coated collies named Dex and Sunshine.

    Angie had joined Pet Wellness Center in April 2011 as a kennel technician and over the years has moved up to the Lead Vet Nurse.  She has a passion to provide care for pets and knowledge to owners for a lifetime of health.

    Sharon joined Pet Wellness Center in 2015 as a Veterinarian Assistant. She attended Southern Illinois University and received a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology. She married Cory in 2009 and they have 2 daughters, Cayla and Cadence.

    Inventory Manager/Pharmacy

    Angela joined the Pet Wellness Center team in August of 2016 bringing over three years of veterinary office experience with her.  Her passion for animals and providing exceptional customer service led her to the veterinary field.  Angela resides in Ava, Illinois and enjoys spending time with her two children, Blake & Cassie and their beautiful yorkie, Sophie.

    Jennifer joined the Pet Wellness Center team in November of 2016 bringing over three years of veterinary office experience and over twenty years of business management experience with her.  She has a flair for marketing and design and loves spending time with her husband, Shane and their son, Riley.

  • Zach Moffitt
    Physical Therapy Nurse/Veterinarian Assistant

    Zach Moffitt has been with Greater Vision Vet Care since September 2021. He grew up in Springfield IL. This is where he started his career volunteering at his local animal shelter in 2013. Since then, Zach has worked at multiple animals hospitals before landing him here in the Williamson County area to be closer to family. Zach is certified in Stem Cell treatment and has a passion for Physical Therapy.
    In his free time he enjoys spending time with his son Brewer, working out, going out with his family, and playing video games. He has four cats ( Dolores, Junie, Oliver, and Marley) and two dogs ( Duke, and Draco).
    Zach would like to note that he wouldn’t be where he is without the help and support of his loving Grandmother Darlene.

  • Matt Deal
    Veterinary Technician

    He has attended Southeastern Illinois College and Murray State University. His passions are raising cattle and Australian Shepherds. He has around 50 head of cattle. His herd consists of registered Angus, Hereford, and Simmental Cattle. He also has a herd of Australian Shepherds. When he's am not at work, He's found in the cow barn or pasture with my cows and dogs. He grew up Raising Game birds, cattle, and swine. Bringing over 20 years' experience in animal Husbandry. He plans on completing the Purdue University Vet Tech program and furthering my education in Veterinary Medicine. Matt is also one of the 4-H leaders for the Pioneers 4-H club in saline County. He serves on saline county 4-H livestock committee and Management committee. He loves helping teach our youth about livestock and agriculture and hope I am able to do so for years to come

  • Ryleigh Clover
    Veterinary Technician/Lab Assistent

    Ryleigh Clover has been with us since January 2021. She is a native of Southern Illinois and a graduate from Carterville High School. Currently a tech assistant/lab tech assistant here with us at Pet Wellness Center, she hopes to gain more knowledge and become a vet nurse. Ryleigh loves all animals including the exotics. She has had array of pets over the years including horses, hedgehogs, geckos, axolotls, fish and a bearded dragon. When she's not at work, she's hanging out with her fiancé Jesse, her two dogs Rhino (Boston Terrier) and Alaska (Siberian Husky), and their cat Brewski. She also has a corn snake named Sage and a blue eyed leucistic ball python named Moonshine. You can most likely find her out and about at a dog park, a pet store or at Home Goods. Ryleigh's most recent love for plants is in full swing and she would have a surplus of them if she could. In the future she would enjoy owning horses once more and living on a small farm.

    Carrie is one of our nurses at our Thompsonville location. She has been with our team for over 5 years. Carrie will be graduating from SIU in May with a Bachelors in Animal Science. In her free time, Carrie is busy taking care of her two dogs Beau and Lucy. They can usually be found swimming or exploring their property with her husband, Peyton. Lucy frequently participates in hunt tests or dock diving competitions.

  • Kylie Watkins
    Veterinary Assistant

    Hello! My name is Kylie Watkins and I started working at Pet Wellness in May of 2021 as a nurse assistant after graduating from Herrin High School. I am currently enrolled at Southern Illinois University Carbondale majoring in Animal Science specializing in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. I hope to one day become a veterinarian myself. In my free time I enjoy caring for my two dogs (Snickers and Joules), my cat (Chocolate), my turtle (Mikey), and my fish. I also enjoy spending time with my family, watching Disney movies, and reading mystery novels.

  • Madi Schmidt
    Veterinary Assistant

    Madi Schmidt has been apart of Greater Vision Veterinary Care since May 2021. After completing her undergraduate internship for Southern Illinois University of Carbondale, she took on a position as a Veterinary Assistant. Madi hopes to continue her education after graduating with her Bachelors in Animal Science with an Equine specialization and a Nutritional Companion Animal Certification in May 2022. She hopes to continue onto graduate school within the area to achieve her PhD in Animal Nutrition. She does have two of her own animals. Millie, her 3 year old Dalmatian, and QT her Pinto/Quarter Horse mare.

    Veterinary Technician

    I have been a team member at Pet Wellness since December of 2020. I long to continue my education and work my way up to becoming a Veterinary Technician. In my free time I like spending time with family and my 3 dogs. I am the oldest of 6 siblings. My boyfriend got me into the hobby of fish keeping and working out. I enjoy hiking on a nice day and watching movies on a rainy one.

    Veterinary Assistant

    I love animals, reptiles especially. I’ve been catching snakes since I was 6 years old, and am more than happy to be able to work in an environment to spread awareness and educate people on their pets and how to best care for them.

  • Amber DeNoon
    Veterinary Technician/CSR

    Amber is one of our nurses and site manager at our Thompsonville location. She has been with our team for a little over 5 years. Amber joined our team the summer of 2016 after graduating from Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in Animal science with a specific emphasis in Equine science. Amber grew up in the small village of Galatia on her family’s farm. Growing up she enjoyed helping out on the family farm, playing sports, camping, spending time with her 4-legged friends and family, trail riding and entering barrel races with her best pal Bailey. Now Amber spends her spare time raising her two children, Tinsley and Stetson, along side her best friend and husband, Doug. As a family they like to spend time teaching their kids the country way of life, they enjoy camping, boating, bailing hay, and horseback riding together.

    Veterinary Technician

    Alison has lived her whole life in Anna, IL She graduated from Shawnee Community College in May 2018 with an associates degree in science and from SICCM veterinary technician school in May 2018. Since she was a little girl, she has been responsible for pets on her families farm. She currently has 3 dogs and 3 cats. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her furbabies and her twin nephews Korbyn and Klaytyn.

  • Sarah Brown
    Client Advocate

    Sarah is originally from New Baden, IL, but has spent much of her adult life in the Southern Illinois area. She joined our team in December of 2021 as a Client Advocate, with over a decade of service experience in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, and most recently Elder Care. She is pursuing her BFA in Pre-Art Therapy at SIUC and plans to continue toward an advanced degree in Psychology and Elder Studies. Outside of PWC, Sarah enjoys baking, reading, hiking, fishing, drawing, gardening, and laughing with her family and friends. She loves birdwatching, good coffee, and playing with her dogs, Ash and Roz.
